A Level Results 2015

There were plenty of smiles and much excitement at Campion as students gathered to celebrate a bumper crop of A Level results.  The atmosphere was electric and it was wonderful to welcome so many colleagues and parents to share in the joy and exhilaration too – our sense of community is truly a strength.

We are delighted with the achievements of our students; initial analysis indicates that more than 70% of all grades achieved were A*- C with an increase in our A*-A grades too.   There are so many individual success stories indicating much hard work and dedication on the part of our students and staff.

We were especially pleased that the vast majority of our students achieved the grades they need to progress to their first choice university or apprenticeship programmes; well over 90% of university applicants gained entry to their preferred choice of course.

Our congratulations also go to Charlotte Jones and Georgina Laye who have gained prestigious places at Cambridge University to read Engineering and Modern & Medieval Languages respectively.

For each of our students, this wonderful academic success is only part of the full picture for a very talented year group who have excelled in many extra-curricular areas and in doing so have enriched school life - without doubt they will go on to make a positive impact in each of their next step destinations.

At AS Level, the picture too is very positive; the pass rate has increased for the second year running and we were delighted to see a significant increase in A-B grades too – this is excellent and bodes well for our Year 12 students as they progress to their A2 studies.

It is a privilege to share in the excitement and joy of our students and each should be congratulated on their hard work, determination and achievements.  We are immensely proud of all our students, wish all of our A2 students well in their new endeavours and very much look forward to hearing of their future success.
