Equality Duty

Campion School is committed to supporting the Equalities Act 2010 and subsequent guidance. To this end, we have set priorities for our school in this area, which for 2021-2022 are:

1) To monitor any incidences of harmful sexual behaviours and ensure school wide work on education in this area (assemblies/PSHE etc) is robust and effective especially at supporting girls as the most likely victims.

2) To monitor the impact on mental health post Covid in our school and examine what further adjustments might be needed to support employees or students in this area particularly of students and staff of the protected characteristic groups.

3) To work with the school’s LGBQT+ community of students and staff to ensure that derogatory language that offends this group or other groups is tackled and eliminated.
