Important update – Covid isolation rules

As you may be aware, the Government has now introduced a new rule for those having to isolate.   Therefore, if students who are isolating are symptom free by day 6, and also have negative lateral flow tests on the mornings of day 6 and 7 they may return to school immediately i.e. on day 7 after the second test.  In addition, from tomorrow (Tuesday 11th January) a positive lateral flow test (LFT) for someone who has no symptoms does not need to be confirmed by a follow-up PCR. The first day of isolation would be the day of the positive LFT result. Those with symptoms should still book a PCR test to confirm whether these relate to Covid or not.

Please continue to update the Attendance team at regarding individual situations and refer to our communication sent earlier today about how work and online learning will be provided in the event of a Covid-related absence.
