Year 11 Parents Evening – Thursday 2nd December 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to inform you of the opportunity to talk with your child’s subject teachers via a virtual parents evening scheduled for Thursday 2nd December (from 3:30pm until 6:30pm).
This is a really important opportunity for you to discuss with your child’s teachers their current progress and to identify key areas to focus on in response to their recent October Mock Examinations. It is still the government’s intention for students to sit formal examinations in May and June and therefore this parents evening is a key opportunity to support student development.
Following the positive feedback from the last parents evening, the appointment will continue to consist of a 5-minute consultation with your child’s subject teachers which will be held remotely using the School Cloud platform. At the end of the 5-minute appointment, the meeting will automatically finish. Therefore, if there is anything else that you needed to discuss, please send an email to your child’s teacher to arrange a follow up meeting or phone call at a later date.
Appointments are already open and the online lists will be closed at lunchtime on the day of the consultation evening. Should you wish to make any changes after this date please contact the subject teacher directly via email. If you do not have access to the internet or a teacher is unavailable for meetings due to absence, please contact the Year 11 team, Mrs Still (Head of Year) and/or Mr Mills (Senior Achievement and Intervention Lead).
It is our intention to deliver a Year 11 Information Evening (In person and in school) in conjunction with our Post 16 Open Evening on Thursday 27th January 2022. We will be able to share more information and guidance to support students through the remainder of Year 11. More details to follow in early January.
