Outstanding A Level Success

A level results day has brought much excitement as our Sixth Form students gathered to collect a truly superb set of results. There was great jubilation as students celebrated their exam success and confirmed University and apprenticeship places, watched on by delighted staff and parents who had joined us for this special occasion.

Our students have achieved outstanding success securing the best set of results achieved at Campion since 2010.  More students than in previous years have achieved the top grades with nearly one out of every two grades awarded an A*, A or B.  21% of all entries were an A* or A grade.  Three quarters of all results were A* to C.  This is a tremendous achievement!

The overwhelming majority of students who have applied for University have secured their first choice, many of which are at Russell Group Universities and include Medicine, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, English, History, Chemical Engineering and Hispanic Studies.  Superb results in subjects such as Physics, Art and Design, Maths, History, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Philosophy and Ethics and Spanish - which together averaged 66% A*- B grades - have strengthened Campion School's reputation for quality at the academic core of learning.

These fantastic results represent hours of work and dedication from students and staff.  Indeed, it is the combined effort, focus and determination of our students and their teachers, supported by parents which have contributed to these outstanding grades.  A huge thank you to all involved.

It has been a pleasure to work with such highly motivated and ambitious students; a talented year group, they have achieved so much in addition to their academic success and have made an enormous contribution to enrich school life and the lives of others through their charitable work.  Each student has helped to ensure that Campion school remains a special and unique place to learn and I know they will go on to achieve great things at university and in their chosen careers.

On behalf of all members of the Campion community, I would like to wish the Class of 2016 every happiness and continued success in their future studies and careers.

Many congratulations!
