Curriculum
At Campion Sixth Form we take pride in providing high-quality education for all of our students. We accept students from a wide variety of backgrounds and offer a range of courses, from the more traditional route of A level to vocational-based courses such as Health & Social Care or Criminology. Our aim is to provide an inclusive Sixth Form with diverse pathways.

The Academic Pathway is likely to consist of a full programme of A level courses. A levels are examination based, and are suitable to lead into degree-level study as well as apprenticeship courses. In order to follow an Academic Pathway, students will need to achieve a minimum of grade 5s or above in a range of subjects including Maths and English at GCSE. Students will typically follow three or four A levels, with the actual number determined by each individual’s GCSE results. Students may be offered the opportunity to follow an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which highlights and emphasises independent learning skills, leading to a fully recognised qualification highly thought of by a variety of universities. |
The Vocational Pathway enables students to follow a suite of courses which develop skills suitable for the workplace, testing learning in a range of different ways throughout the year – not just traditional examinations at the end. Some students will access vocational courses (equivalent to an A level), particularly if they secure grade 4 or more at GCSE including English and Maths. |
The Blended Pathway gives you a greater diversity of choice in your subjects if you wish to pursue more vocational subjects or if you are unsure if university is the right route for you. You will be studying at least one A level and two vocational subjects. You can choose from any of the A level subjects as long as you meet the entry requirements for them.
